Ingredients for Aflatoon Barfi
Mawa/Khoya – 1 cup
Milk – 1 cup
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Semolina – 1/2 cup
Milk powder – 100 grams
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tbsp
Almonds – 10-12
Pistachios – 14-15

How to make Aflatoon Barfi
To make Aflatoon Barfi, first take almonds and cashew nuts and chop them finely. Now take a wok and put it on the gas on medium flame. When the ghee becomes hot, add semolina to it. Fry it till it becomes light golden brown. When the semolina starts to turn light brown, then at the same time add sugar and milk powder to it.

Now fry this mixture on low flame while stirring continuously till it becomes golden brown. Now add finely chopped pistachios and almonds to this mixture. Mix them well in the mixture.
In about 10 minutes time this mixture will be fried well. Now slow down the gas. Now add mawa to this mixture. Also add milk and mix it well. Now cook this whole mixture on medium flame while stirring continuously. If lumps form in the mixture during cooking, then break them by pressing with a ladle.

Now add cardamom powder to the prepared mixture. Keep in mind that this mixture has to be cooked till it becomes fit. When the mixture is ready, then turn off the gas. Now take a tray or plate. Put ghee in it well. Now put the mixture in it. Leave it to settle together. Put finely chopped almonds and pistachios on this mixture and press them lightly so that they stick well.

Now keep the barfi for at least an hour, so that it gets set well. Now your aflatoon barfi is ready. Now cut it into rectangular shape. Now your barfi is ready to serve. It can be stored and eaten for 15 days.
