Ingredients for Badam Barfi
Almonds – 250 grams
Milk – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 1 cup
Saffron – 2 pinch

How to make Badam Barfi
To make Badam Barfi, first take a vessel and put water in it and keep it to heat on the gas. When the water comes to a boil, switch off the gas. After that put almonds in this water and keep the vessel covered with a plate. After about 5 minutes, open the vessel and remove the almonds from it and put them in cold water. After this, peel all the almonds and remove their upper skin. Now soak the peeled almonds by adding hot water and keep it for about an hour.

When the almonds swell, remove them from the hot water and grind the almonds by adding milk in the mixer. Now take a pan and heat it by adding ghee. When the ghee melts, add almond paste, sugar and saffron and let it cook on medium flame. During this, keep stirring the paste well until it becomes like a dough. Now turn off the gas and take off the paste. Let it cool down for some time.

Now take a tray and grease it well by applying ghee in its bottom. Now spread almond paste in this tray. Keep in mind that it has to be spread thin and not all around. Now let this paste dry, when the almond barfi becomes, then cut it into square or diamond shape. In this way your Badam Barfi for Bhai Dooj is ready. Take it in a box and keep it in the fridge. When the food is ready, take it out from the fridge and serve.
