Ingredients for making Besan Sheera
Besan – 3 tbsp
Desi Ghee – 1 tbsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Milk – one and a half cup
Cardamom Hut – 1
Ajwain – 1/4 tsp
green coriander
Turmeric – 1 pinch

Method of making Besan Sheera
To make Punjabi Style Besan Ka Sheera, first take a wok and put it on the gas. When the pan becomes hot, add ghee to it. When the ghee starts melting, add gram flour to it. During this, keep the flame of the gas slow. Now roast the gram flour till its color becomes light brown. When you roast the gram flour, after some time the fragrance will start coming from it. When the gram flour starts giving fragrance, then add cardamom, jaggery, carom seeds and turmeric to it. Mix it well.

After this, add milk to the gram flour and mix it while stirring it well. Keep in mind that after adding milk while making sheera, keep stirring continuously with a ladle, otherwise lumps may form in the gram flour. If there are lumps then the taste of molasses will deteriorate. Now boil it well for about 5 minutes. Lastly, put chopped fresh green coriander on top of the gram flour molasses. Now the hot gram flour sheera prepared by you is ready to be served. In the changing season, consuming this rich molasses every day will also benefit health.
