Dr Rajesh Parikh says that according to the report of the World Health Organization (WHO), about 800 million people in the world are suffering from some kind of mental problem at this time. This means that one out of every 10 people in the world is suffering from a problem related to mental health. Along with this, suicide is the biggest cause of death among the youth of 15 to 29 years in the world and depression is the biggest reason for this.

Talking about our own country, here also about 14 percent people are troubled by some mental problem. In India 40 million people have depressive disorder and 50 million people have anxiety disorder. Too little sleep, lack of nutrition in diet, unbalanced lifestyle, lack of exercise and stress of daily life have worked to harm mental health.
Dr Parikh said that according to a research, only by taking a nutritious diet i.e. a diet rich in nutrition can reduce depression by 25 to 30 percent. Mental health can be kept good by changing daily habits.
Accept that Social Media is an Addiction, Quit It
According to Psychiatric News, excessive use of social media platforms increases depression. In teenagers, it weakens the confidence. That’s why you need to go to Digital Wellbeing and Parental Control in the phone’s settings and know your screen time from it. Turn off notifications to reduce phone usage. Respond only on important posts. Set time limit. You can take the help of a friend for external pressure.
