Garlic Naan Recipe: Everyone must have tasted the soft garlic naan made in the hotel. The taste of the food doubles when it is served with cashew paneer and dal fry. Many people go to the hotel only to taste this garlic naan. What to say about the flavor of garlic and green coriander over the naan. If you also like to eat Garlic Naan, then there is no need to go to the hotel to taste it. It can be easily prepared at home.
Ingredients for making garlic naan
Maida – one and a half cup (or 1 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 cup flour)
Instant dry yeast – 1/2 tsp
Curd – 1 tbsp
Milk – 1/3 cup
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Warm water – 1/2 cup
Garlic (finely chopped) – 2 tbsp
Coriander (finely chopped) – 3 tbsp
Butter (for serving) – 1 cake
How to make garlic naan
To make Garlic Naan, first take instant dry yeast in a bowl and then add sugar to it. Now put 1/2 cup lukewarm water in it. Now stir this mixture well. After that keep it covered for 15 minutes. If you see foam in this mixture. It means yeast is active and if it does not happen yeast is not active or you have used too hot water. If there is no foam, discard the yeast mixture without foam and repeat

Now sieve one and a half cup all purpose flour (or 1 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 cup flour) in a big vessel and add one tablespoon curd and oil to it. In the meantime, add salt to it as well. Now add the yeast mixture prepared earlier in it. Now knead it soft like roti dough. You can also use a little water if needed for soft dough.
Now grease the dough with oil and keep it. Cover it with a wet cloth or cover the vessel with a plastic or lid. Keep it in a warm place for about one to one and a half hours. After this, remove the cloth or the lid, then you will see the dough puffed up. Now knead the dough once again to make it soft. Now make balls of dough and then cover it with a cloth and keep it aside for about half an hour.

Now take a ball and roll it into an oval by applying dough in it. Put some chopped garlic and chopped coriander on it. Then press it slowly with a rolling pin or by hand. Now turn the naan over and moisten it by applying water with your hand or with the help of a brush. Now keep the iron griddle on the gas to heat and when the griddle becomes hot, put the naan on the griddle from the wet side. This will make the naan stick to the pan.
Now hold the pan with the handle and turn it upside down on the gas. Keep swirling it on the gas till the naan is cooked. It will take about a minute. Now take out the naan using a ladle. You will see that the bottom surface has also turned golden in colour. In this way your Garlic Naan is ready. Serve it hot with food by applying butter on top.
