Ingredients for making Gulab Jamun
Mawa (Khoya) – 100 grams
Maida – 1 tbsp
Ghee
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Sugar – 2 cups
Milk – 2 tbsp
Green cardamom ground – 4
Water – 2 cups

How to make Gulab Jamun
To make Gulab Jamun, first take a deep-bottomed vessel. Add mawa (khoya) to it and mash it well with hands. During mashing, eliminate all the kernels of mawa. Now mix baking soda and flour in mawa and knead it well. The tat is neither too hard nor too soft. Keep in mind that mawa-maida should not remain dry. If you feel that this mixture has dried up, then knead again by applying water to the palms.
When the mixture of mawa-maida is kneaded well, after that make small balls of equal proportion of it. Now heat ghee in a pan. When the ghee becomes hot enough, reduce the flame of the gas and fry the gulab jamun balls in it till they become golden brown. In this way fry all the gulab jamun balls. If the ghee starts cooling in the middle, then increase the flame of the gas before adding the balls, then if you want to fry the gulab jamun balls, then reduce the flame of the gas. Fry all in this way and take them out in a plate.
Now take a vessel to make sugar syrup and put water and sugar in it and keep it on low flame on the gas. Keep stirring this sugar water with a spoon. When the sugar dissolves well, let it boil on high flame. Cook the syrup till it thickens a bit. When the syrup starts forming strings, then turn off the gas. Now filter the syrup through a sieve and then keep it on the gas and add ground cardamom to it and let it cook for about a minute. Now put gulab jamun balls in this prepared syrup which is already fried. Leave them like this for half an hour so that the gulab jamuns absorb the syrup well. Now your Gulab Jamuns are ready. On the occasion of Diwali, get praise by serving the members of the house as well as the guests.
