New Delhi. Two wheeler drivers will no longer need to buy helmets. Especially if you live in Rajasthan, then not at all. You must be thinking that wearing a helmet is mandatory, so how will it be possible without buying it. In fact, Rajasthan Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has given green signal to the proposal, in which now the dealer will have to provide helmets free of cost while selling two wheelers. Giving information about this, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that the dealers have been directed to provide free helmets keeping in mind the safety of the two wheeler driver.
Khachariyawas said that this step has been taken to reduce the number of injuries and deaths in road accidents. Many people buy simple helmets due to paucity of money which does not work at the time of accident. The government will provide strong helmets with ISI mark to these people. It is known that the Rajasthan government had prepared such a proposal in March last year too, but due to Corona, it could not be worked out, which has now been implemented.

Court gave this instruction on the helmet of fake ISI mark
The Delhi High Court on Monday directed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to keep a strict vigil on the manufacture and sale of helmets. Hearing a plea by an NGO, Justice Pratibha M. Singh said, “Given that the safety of the consumers is at stake, there is a need for strict monitoring and supervision over the manufacture and sale of helmets.” The court also directed the BIS to look into the complaints of the NGOs and file its report. This report should indicate the action taken on the complaints. Along with this, information should also be given about the steps that the authority has taken to monitor the manufacturing and sale of helmets so that the ISI mark is not misused.
