How was the study done?
This study has been done for Danish nurses for 15 to 20 years. For this, researchers collected data of more than 22 thousand nurses. The nurses involved in the study were asked questions about their body mass index, lifestyle, smoking, drinking, physical activity, diet, past health and work status in 1993 or 1999. . After that, information was collected about his health till 2014, in which more focus was given on the case of heart failure.

The findings of this study found that an increase of 5.1 ug per cubic meter in fine particulate matter for 3 years led to a 17 percent increase in the incidence of heart failure.
