Karwa Chauth 2021 Sargi: The day of Karwa Chauth is very special for married women. For the celebration of this special day, women start preparing many days in advance. On the day of Karva Chauth, women keep fast, wishing for the long life of their husbands. Women complete the fast by drinking water and eating sweets from the hands of their husbands only after worshiping the moon after the start of the fast. This year the festival of Karva Chauth will be celebrated on 24 October (Sunday). For Karva Chauth, the mother-in-law is given sargi to her daughter-in-law, in which there are food items like sweets, dry fruits, special food dishes. Karva Chauth fasting begins only after eating Sargi.
This time we are going to tell you how to make dry fruits kheer for sargi. By eating it in sargi, you can remain energetic throughout the day during the fast. It is a very easy method to prepare it at home.
Ingredients for Dry Fruits Kheer
Milk – one and a half liters
Saffron – 1/4 tsp
Mawa – 1 cup
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Cashew – 3 tbsp
Almonds – 3 tbsp
Raisins – 2 tbsp
Pistachios chopped – 10 nos.
Dates chopped – 5
Chironji (Charholi) – 2 tbsp
How to make Dry Fruits Kheer
To make Dry Fruits Kheer, first we prepare Nuts Powder. For this, take 2 tbsp cashew nuts and 2 tbsp almonds. Dry roast it well. Roast till the nuts become crunchy. After that let them cool down. After this, blend it in a mixer and keep it aside. Now take a big pan, put one and a half liters of milk in it. After that add saffron to the milk. After this, keep the milk warm and boil it while stirring it well.
Once the milk boils, add the prepared nuts powder to it. Now stir this mixture well and boil it well for about five minutes. Now add mawa to it and mix well
Mix it. When the mawa mixes well in the milk, let it boil well for about 15 minutes. Now add sugar to it and boil till the sugar dissolves well in the kheer. The kheer has to be boiled till it gets a creamy texture.

Now roast dry fruits to put in the kheer. Fry them well in 2 tbsp ghee. Add 5 cashews, 2 tbsp raisins, 5 almonds, 10 pistachios, 2 tbsp chironji and 5 chopped dates. Fry them in ghee till the dry fruits become crunchy. Now put these fried nuts in the kheer and add cardamom powder on top. Lastly, top the dry fruits on the kheer. In this way your dry fruits kheer for sargi is ready. While this kheer will not let you feel hungry throughout the day, it will also be very energetic.
