Kharna Prasad Recipe: Chhath Puja, which is held in other states including Bihar and UP, is a popular festival of religious and cultural faith. Ingredients for Jaggery Kheer ‘Rasia’
Rice – 1/2 kg
Milk full cream – 1 liter
Jaggery crushed – 3/4 cup
Almonds – 10
Cashew – 10
cardamom – 6
Raisins – 2 tbsp

How to make Jaggery Kheer ‘Rasia’
To make jaggery kheer ‘Rasia’, first take a big pot and boil it by pouring milk in it. During this, cut dry fruits into fine pieces and keep them aside. Now take half a cup of rice and soak them in water for 2 hours. In the meantime, when the milk comes to a boil, add rice to it. Now keep stirring the milk with the help of a spoon so that it does not burn. Do this till the kheer comes to a boil. When it comes to a boil, reduce the flame of the gas. Keep stirring this every two minutes or else the fear of sticking to the bottom of the kheer vessel will remain.

Now take another vessel and put half a cup of water and jaggery in it and keep it to heat on the gas. When the jaggery dissolves completely in the water, then switch off the gas flame. During this, check the rice soaked in milk. When it becomes completely soft, then add dry fruits cashew nuts, almonds, raisins to it. Mix them well in the kheer. After that add cardamom powder on top. Now let the kheer cool down, after that first filter the jaggery solution through a sieve and then mix it in the kheer. In this way, ‘Rasia’ of jaggery and rice is ready for enjoyment.
