Coconut (grated) – 1 cup
Jaggery (grated) – 1 cup
Nutmeg – 1 pinch
Saffron – 1 pinch
Water – 1 cup
Ghee – 2 tsp
Rice flour – 1 cup

How to make Modak
To make modak, first of all, the filling ingredients have to be prepared in it. For this, take a pan and heat it and put coconut and jaggery in it. Bake this mixture for about five minutes. Now add nutmeg and saffron to it. Cook this mixture again after five minutes. Now take it off the flame and keep it aside. Now put water and ghee in a big deep vessel and bring them to a boil. Then add a little salt and flour to it, then mix it well.
