New Delhi. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari launched the ‘One Nation One FASTags’ scheme at the Indian Mobile Congress held on Monday. This scheme will be implemented across the country from 1st December 2019. After the implementation of this scheme, any vehicle will be able to travel anywhere in the country without paying toll in cash. The government is continuously promoting the cashless system and FASTag is the biggest example in the transport sector.

Addressing a program organized on the topic ‘One Nation One Fastag’, Gadkari said that there are a total of 527 toll plazas on national highways in the country, out of which all lanes of 380 toll plazas have been equipped with FASTag. Rest of the lanes are also being equipped with FASTag. From December 1, such a system will be made at all the toll plazas of the country. Describing the merits of FASTag, he said that after the implementation of FASTag system, there will be no jam at the toll plaza, which will also save the time of the people.

Your FASTag account is created after giving the necessary ID proofs such as PAN card, Aadhar card, driving license for KYC. A passport size photograph is also required for this. FASTag can be purchased online at all toll plazas and some banks. Apart from this, you can also buy toll plazas from Amazon India.
