Ingredients for Paneer Bhurji Gravy
Paneer – 250 grams
Tomato finely chopped – 3
Capsicum finely chopped – 1/2
Onion finely chopped – 1
Besan – 1 tbsp
Butter – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make Paneer Bhurji Gravy
To make Paneer Bhurji Gravy like Dhaba, first take a big kadhai and heat 2 tbsp oil in it. Add butter and cumin to it also. Heat it till the cumin seeds start giving fragrance. Take care that cumin seeds do not burn in high flame. Now add onion and garlic ginger paste and fry it. Cook it till the color of the onion becomes golden brown. Now reduce the flame of the gas and add gram flour, chili powder, turmeric, cumin powder, turmeric and salt to it. Let them cook till the spices become fragrant. Besan is used in this recipe because it helps in making the gravy thick and creamy.
Now add tomatoes to this mixture and cook them till the tomatoes become very soft. After this, add capsicum to this gravy and cook for a minute. Now add water according to how thick the gravy is to be kept and mix it well. Now take paneer and crumble it well and mix it in this gravy. Now cover the pan and boil the gravy for 2 minutes. Keep in mind that the gravy should not be boiled too much else the taste of crumbled paneer may deteriorate.
