Paneer Darts Recipe: Paneer Tikka is one of the favorite dishes for people who love to eat outside the house. It is usually used as a starter. Paneer tikka is made in many ways. The thing about paneer tikka found in hotels and dhabas is different. Paneer tikka is usually baked in a tandoor, which is why people avoid making it at home. But if you want, you can easily make it at home without a tandoor. Paneer is rich in protein, so this recipe is not only tasty but also benefits the body to some extent.
Along with paneer, capsicum and other vegetables, fruits are used to make paneer tikka. If you also want to eat paneer tikka like hotel, then definitely try this recipe once at home. Follow these steps to make it.
Ingredients for making Paneer Tikka
Paneer – 250 grams
Curd – 100 grams (half cup)
Butter or Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Black pepper – half tsp
Red chili powder – 2 pinch
Green coriander finely chopped – 2 tbsp
Ginger paste – 1/2 inch piece
Capsicum – 1
Tomato – 2-3
Onion – 1
Lemon – 1
Salt – as per taste
How to make Paneer Tikka
To make hotel style paneer tikka, first cut the paneer thick into square pieces. Keep in mind that it has to be cut square. After this, to marinate it, add ginger paste, black pepper and salt to the curd and beat it well. Now put the pieces of paneer in the curd and marinate it well. After this, leave it wrapped in curd for about half an hour and close the lid.
After half an hour, remove the well-marinated pieces of paneer from the curd and keep it in the fridge for 2-3 hours. Now take tomato and cut it thin and round. Then take out the seeds of capsicum and cut it into thin long pieces. Also cut large pieces of onion and separate them.
Now take a pan and heat it by adding butter to it. When the butter melts, add some pieces of paneer and bake it well till it turns light golden on both the sides. Bake it on medium flame only. same process
Do the same with the remaining pieces of paneer and take out all the golden fried pieces in a plate. Now slow down the flame, add cumin powder and ginger paste to the remaining butter in the pan and keep stirring it well with a big spoon.
Add capsicum and onion to it and then stir. Cover it for 1 minute so that it gets cooked well. Add the previously fried pieces of paneer, tomato, chaat masala, red chili powder, mix well and cook for 1 minute while stirring. In this way, hotel style paneer tikka is ready at your home itself. Decorate it in a plate and garnish it with chopped green coriander and lemon. Serve with chaat masala on top.
