Ingredients for Onion Kachori
Potato boiled – 2
Medium onion chopped – 2 to 3
Besan – 3 tsp
Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Crushed coriander – 2 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – one and a half tsp
Black salt – 1 tsp
Chaat masala – 1.5 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Green chili chopped – 2

Carom seeds – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 6 tsp

How to make Onion Kachori
To make Onion Kachori, first take a pan. Put oil in it and heat it. After that add coriander and asafoetida in it. Now cook it on medium flame for about two minutes. After this, add gram flour, red chili powder, chaat masala, garam masala and black salt and fry for some time. Now add chopped onion, green chili and salt to it and mix it well. Cook the onion till it becomes soft. After that add potatoes to it. Now mix this mixture well and make it one. After that let it cool down for some time.
Now to prepare the onion kachori dough, first of all take all purpose flour. Add salt, carom seeds and some oil and mix it. To make a soft dough, mix it well and then add water and knead it. Now cover the dough with a wet cloth. Leave it covered for about half an hour. After this, take flour in equal proportion and make balls out of them. After this, stuff this dough with a mixture of onions and potatoes. Now press it with your hands and roll it like a kachori by pressing with your hands. It has to be kept a little thick so that the mixture does not spread in the oil while frying.

Now deep fry these kachoris on low flame for 10 to 12 minutes. When the kachoris become golden brown, take them out from the pan. Now your onion kachori is ready. Serve it with tamarind chutney and coriander, mint chutney.
