New Delhi. Patients undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), the largest hospital of Ayurveda in the capital Delhi, are going to get great relief. Patients will not have to worry much for treatment in a hospital built on the lines of Delhi AIIMS for treatment with Ayurvedic medicine. At the same time, patients will not even have to wait long to be shown in the OPD. For this, an exercise is underway to start the facility of online OPD appointment in AIIA.
Dr. Rajagopala S, Medical Superintendent at All India Institute of Ayurveda said that eight types of General OPDs are currently running in the hospital, where patients from all over the country come for treatment. Apart from this, Post Covid OPD has also been started here two months back. In which all the patients of Long Kovid are coming. Even during the Corona epidemic, the OPD here was not closed. However, till now there is no online appointment facility for OPD. After coming here, the patient has to take an appointment or if he has to come for a follow-up after a few months, then an appointment has to be taken.
Dr. Rajagopala says, however, now patients will no longer have to go round the windows to make an appointment. The online booking process is likely to start by Diwali. Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) is being built in the hospital. It is currently running on trial stage. After this, AIIA like Delhi AIIMS and other hospitals will soon be registered on the online registration system under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. So that patients from any corner of the country will be able to take appointment at home for OPD in this hospital through ORS.
Number of patients will double in OPD
Dr. Rajagopala says that till now 600-700 patients are being seen in AIIA daily but through online registration where the number of registrations will increase. In such a situation, arrangements are being made to provide treatment to more than 1500 patients in OPD in a day. At present, Kaya Chikitsa means internal medicine, women and obstetrics means obstetrics and gynecology, surgery means surgery, salakya means ENT, Panchakarma, pediatrics etc.
Three new OPDs are also starting

While physiotherapists have come for the new OPD of physiotherapy. Apart from this, there is an OPD of third skin disease. These two OPDs are going to start separately soon. Along with this, two centers of Kovid vaccination are running separately in the hospital. Covaccin is being installed in one and Kovishield in the other.
